Rationale

Digital innovations, AI and social media will play important roles in the 2025 national and local elections in terms of getting access to, disseminating, and sharing of information about the political candidates, their platforms and advocacies.

However, these candidates can be targets of generative AI which is used as a tool for disinformation with deepfakes, or chat bots that create instant content and disseminate misinformation-which are even hard to detect.

Protecting people’s right to access reliable information and freedom of expression requires collaborative efforts from the government, political candidates, campaign managers, private stakeholders, civil service society (CSOs) and the media.

Election stakeholders, particularly political candidates and campaign managers also need to increase their knowledge and awareness on digital innovations, focused on the threats and challenges of cybersecurity.

Capstone-Intel Corporation will gather election campaigning stakeholders in a three-day event entitled: “National Election Game Changer Summit: Winning Strategies for Interconnected Electorate,” to be held on November 25, 26, and 27, 2024 at Marquis Events Place, BGC in Taguig City.

The summit aims to provide information, knowledge and awareness on winning elections through innovative campaign strategies using digital technologies and AI, as well as time-tested traditional approaches.

The three-day summit also seeks to create a platform for discussions on operationalization of core elements of campaign, including ways to ensure digital and physical safety of political candidates and campaign stakeholders.

The summit will also be an opportunity to establish networks and engage with different suppliers for the election campaign needs. Specifically, the three-day event seeks to achieve the following:

2. To provide a platform for discussions on the roles of innovative digital technologies in winning election campaigns;
3. To provide showcase the supply chain of election needs through interactive exhibits and provide a network for collaborations;
4. To gain knowledge and awareness on the threats and challenges both digital platforms and face-to-face interactions in the May 2025 elections;
5. To increase knowledge on the best practices on time-tested winning campaign strategies.
